For the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships 2026 Men's Tournament (September 30 – October 6, 2026; Qualifying: September 28–29, 2026 / Ariake Coliseum and Ariake Tennis Forest Park Courts), Kei Nishikori (UNIQLO), a two-time champion of this tournament who has announced that he will retire from professional tennis at the end of this season, has been added to the list of expected participants alongside Carlos Alcaraz (Spain).
Nishikori is scheduled to compete in the singles main draw with a wild card entry.
Regarding tickets, hospitality programs will go on sale from Wednesday, June 3, while other ticket categories, including tournament passes, will be available sequentially from Sunday, June 21.
Kei Nishikori's Comment
"I am pleased to announce that I will be competing in the Kinoshita Group Japan Open. This will be my final Japan Open. I have so many memories from this tournament, and I am sure a lot of emotions will come back when I step on court.
As this will be my last appearance here, I will do my best to show my fans the best version of myself and finish on a high note. I sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you all there."
