"I was able to play well against a tough opponent. I had a good start, but in the second set, she mixed up her shots and constructed the points well. I'm happy I was able to stay patient and come through with the win. She's very good at changing pace, so the key was to take control of the rallies from the beginning and try to keep them short. I'm glad to make it to the semifinals, but I believe the real work starts now. I'll be facing Leylah Fernandez from Canada — she's a very tough and dangerous player, so I’m focusing solely on the next match, not the title.”
