The singles’ draw for Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships 2023 (WTA 250) took place on September 9th at ITC Utsubo Tennis Center in Osaka City. Nao Hibino attended the drawing conducted by children in the audience and names were added to the draw as the children picked up chips from the table. Hibino’s first round opponent is Rebecca Marino of Canada. “This will be the first time I play Rebecca. I heard that she improved after playing in Japan so I want to do my best,” Hibino said. The first seed, Lin Zhu of China will play Xiyu Wang, also from China and the second seed, Tatjana Maria of Germany is set to face Panna Udvardy of Hungary in the first round.
